I don´t have a lot of time to write because I´m busy preparing for a field visit to the mountains of Cahamarca (18 hours north) next week. The good news is I now have my photos up! Follow the link below, click on the image (entitled Peru 1) and enjoy...

Great pictures, Zach. Looks like it's pretty easy to catch up on the latest movies down there ;)
Hey, this is Ken, for some reason Google won't let me log in, so I'm using my AIM name from now on.
Awesome pictures. Very Epic.
Just realized that you're seeing some real Mountains now. I remember you saying that you hadn't seen the Rockies, well The Andes are just as good!
Not to shoot down the Appalachians, but lets face it, they don't "peak" so much as they "round-off"
Yeah, movies aren´t too difficult to keep up on because piracy is at a whole new level here. You can´t walk down the street without bumping into a small store with pirated copies of pretty much anything. Some are mislabeled or bad cams, but that is the price one pays for 60 cent flicks. Theaters are a lot harder to come by, but the capital usually has one so I might be able to see the biggest flicks with luck...
Ken, definitely loving the mountainous area. I´m not even really near the full-blown Andes, and hope to see some more impressive peaks this week, as I´m going to the sierra province of Cahamarca for a week to teach business in a school there. I´ll definitely keep everyone updated as that progresses, and I should see some world-class peaks, snow-capped and all, for the first time!
Sounds fantastic. I can't wait to hear about it!
Well, the peaks were not snow-capped, but they were impressive nonetheless...
